Vitamin C
Vitamin C or ascorbic acid is probably the best known vitamin of all. It is a water-soluble vitamin. It is found mainly in vegetables and fruits such as black currant, red pepper, bell peppers, kiwi or strawberries. However, vitamin C is a very fragile molecule that is highly sensitive to environmental conditions such as temperature, air or light. This means that when storing fruits and vegetables, or cooking, there is a significant loss of the vitamin itself.
In addition to playing an important role in supporting our immune system, it also produces collagen and optimizes the proper function of blood vessels, bones, cartilage, gums, skin and teeth.
