Potassium is a mineral that is involved in many basic bodily functions, including optimizing blood pressure, muscle contractions, nerve impulses, digestion, heart rhythm, pH balance and water in the body.

About 98% of the potassium in our body is found in the cells. Of these, 80% are found in muscle cells, while another 20% are found in our bones, liver and red blood cells. Common signs of potassium deficiency are extreme fatigue, muscle pain, cramps, irregular heartbeat, constipation, nausea or vomiting.
