Multiminerals
Multiminerals are complex supplements of basic minerals, mostly enriched with vitamins, with which they act synergistically in the body. There are two types of minerals: macrominerals and trace elements. Macrominerals include calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, sodium, potassium, chloride and sulfur.
One of the key tasks of the major minerals is to maintain the right balance of water in the body. Sodium, chloride and potassium play a leading role in this. Three other major minerals - calcium, phosphorus and magnesium - are important for healthy bones. Sulfur helps stabilize proteins, including those that make up hair, skin and nails. Trace elements include iron, manganese, copper, iodine, zinc, cobalt, fluoride and selenium.
