Medicinal Mushrooms

They gained the adjective "medicinal" mushrooms because they are used to prevent and treat diseases. The ancient Egyptians, for example, believed that eating mushrooms would ensure a long life. Researchers around the world are now coming up with new fascinating effects on more than 100 medicinal mushrooms

All fungi contain beta-glucans, which help stimulate the immune system. Fungi also contain types of lectins that can identify, and prevent the growth and division of cancer cells. Other effects of mushrooms include support of brain activity, helping balance out hormonal imbalance and high blood sugar, as well as a strong antioxidant effect and improvement of sports performance.
