According to Ayurveda, Basmati is the queen of all other types of rice. It has a very strong scent, maybe that's why Basmati in Hin means "full aroma". This rice has been grown for thousands of years at the foot of the Himalayas and is the basis of many Indian dishes. It has elongated grains and remains loose when properly prepared. Basmati has a much lower glycemic index than conventional white rice and even has almost 20% more fiber in terms of fiber content . It is thus better digested even for people who have difficulty digesting.

Basmati rice is a rich source of carbohydrates with almost zero fat content and contains a B vitamin . Minerals include minerals, including iron, magnesium, zinc and potassium , which help lower blood pressure.

How to prepare rice?

We wash the rice, we can leave it soaked for 30 or more minutes (it will then be more fluffy after cooking) and let it drip. Add rice to salted water and bring the water to a boil, cover with a lid, remove the power of the hotplate and cook for 10 to 15 minutes . Then we turn it off, let it stand for 5 to 10 minutes and then carefully stir it with a fork.
